BFS Attends Quaker Youth Leadership Conference
Last week, a group of Brooklyn Friends School Upper School students and colleagues attended the annual Quaker Youth Leadership Conference. Hosted this year by William Penn Charter School and Germantown Friends School with a theme of “Quakerism: Past, Present, and Future,” the Conference provided a space for students from Quaker schools to engage in discussions, workshops, and activities that promoted leadership development, community building, and spiritual growth.
Participants had the opportunity to explore Quaker values, principles, and practices, and discussed issues relevant to their lives and communities.
Sessions focused on peace and social justice, environmental sustainability, and other topics explored through a Quaker lens. The conference proudly brought together students from Quaker schools across the country.
